About Me
Paintings
I paint the wonder and reverence of my life experience. I like to paint the land, water and all of the inhabitants as a way of preserving the beauty and my own sense of w o n d e r m e n t of it all. I enjoy paying special attention to the details as I strive to create work that is emotive and sensitive.

2005-present
Discovering nature and all of its glory was a defining moment in my life. Walking, biking, fishing and kayaking are a few of the things I like to do in my spare time. I often hop into my Jeep with paints, camera and sketchpad and venture out to explore the countryside. I am an avid photographer, my husband and I travel the backroads of Atlantic Canada looking for the beautiful, it is simply good for my soul. I use my own reference material for my work. I am currently completing a series of paintings of Wildflowers native to New Brunswick. My future projects include series of paintings that will depict the soulfulness of the landscape, the wildlife and the people of Atlantic Canada.

2000-2005
The death of a loved one in 1999 led me on a path of introspection. I found myself immersed in the study of art, specifically painting. I became fascinated with the psychology of art, color theory, composition principles and technique. I painted relentlessly. The result of my intense introspection was a series of 23 paintings which I call “Faces” that represent the woman in transition.

1974-1994
As far back as I can remember I have always been creative and interested in making things. My family and I have made our home here in the Oromocto area since 1966. After graduating high school and completing the required training I worked as a hairstylist. I enjoyed a 20 year career when I decided to retire from that profession to pursue other interests and avenues. I am married to Pete and we have two beautiful daughters.
